Pursue Your Dreams | Start Today (Part 2 with Ann Spade)

ann-spade.jpgIn my previous post, I had posted a video by actress Ann Spade. What I enjoyed about the video is how real and honest it is. Watch the video now if you missed it.

Being inspired by Ann, I wondered what inspired her. What resources and tools did she use to change her life and find the courage to live her passion?

Well, I asked Ann, and she was kind enough to answer.

Here is her reply:
There are 3 books that influenced my life in a big way, Scott.

  1. The Choice The Choice – by Og Mandino
  2. The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (A Toltec Wisdom Book) The Four Agreements – by Don Ruiz Miguel
  3. Body for Life: 12 Weeks to Mental and Physical Strength Body for LIFE – by Bill Phillips

The Choice helped me to realize that goals and dreams can be realized no matter what point you are in your life.
The Four Agreements helped me to put certain “rules” if you will in context to help me move forward and deal with the struggles. That’s not to say I don’t have bad days… we all do.

And the Body for LIFE may seem like a physical fitness and transformation guide but it’s more than that. This book was my fitness bible and with the philisophies outlined I learned how to take care of myself, eat right, and exercise for a better mind, body, and soul.

Amazingly enough these three books pretty much helped solidify the stepping stones placed before me.

Anyone can read a book. It means nothing without actually taking action and pushing forward. It is up to us to make a difference.
